Examples of M&E's program management services in action:
-
For the Boston Harbor Cleanup project, M&E provided the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority with lead design engineering services. M&E had overall responsibility for coordinating this $3.5B program, completing it on-schedule and under budget, while helping the MWRA either meet or beat all the key court-ordered milestones. The construction budget was awarded at a nominal average cost of 12% below the construction manager's original estimates, due in part to M&E's uniform design standards, integration of each design package into the total project, and the implementation of a quality design review program.
-
M&E has provided program management services for several multi-year, multi-project site remediation initiatives for the EPA, such as the $135M Alternative Remedial Contracting Strategy (ARCS) program and the $474M Response Action Contract (RAC) program in the EPA's Region I. At one point in the ARCS program, M&E was concurrently managing 28 work assignments at over 20 sites.
-
M&E was a key player in the $2B USAF Peace Shield defense system in Saudi Arabia. This project involved the design and construction of command control and communications facilities (including radar installations) for a new state-of-the-art defense system. M&E program management services included establishment of a comprehensive plan and schedule, an effective program accounting system, cost estimating, contract negotiations, and management of over 50 subcontractors, including some of the largest international contractors in the world. |
