Wakefield, Massachusetts - Philip Sudol has joined environmental consultant Metcalf & Eddy as a vice president and business development director for M&E's national design/build business efforts, it was announced by company president Steven Guttenplan. "Phil's successful track record in developing and managing turnkey and design/build projects will be a great boost to our firm," said Mr. Guttenplan. "More and more, municipalities and utilities are considering design/build options and other innovative contracting for their capital projects. This is an area that we are expert in, and Phil will help us further develop opportunities to provide design/build solutions to existing and prospective clients. He is a strong addition to our team."
Mr. Sudol has more than 20 years experience in the environmental engineering field, developing new business and managing operations for design/build projects in water and wastewater. Before joining M&E he served as the business development director for an international water and wastewater treatment equipment firm, focusing on the design/build municipal and industrial markets. For ten years, Mr. Sudol also worked for a water utility, responsible for strategy development and operations and the creation of its successful design/build business.
He currently serves as a chairman of the Water Committee of the Design Build Institute of America, and is also an active member of the Water environment Federation and the American Water Works Association. Mr. Sudol has a B.S. in Resource Management from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry in Syracuse, NY. He also completed an executive management and marketing program at Penn State University. |
